6KM RUN / WALK

Starting at the Tranquil Te Pehi o Manawatere (Home Bay), you’ll begin with a steady (but not too steep) climb up a gravel road which will take you past some beautiful regenerating native bush and get you some height for the vast views to come. At the top you’ll head around the old WWII relics whilst enjoying views across to Whangaparaoa Peninsula, Tiritiri Matangi & Rakino Islands. The last 2km is through the second half of the stunning Rotary Centennial walkway. You’ll hear lots of bird song as well as getting a birds eye view of the event village before descending to the finish line. Grab an ice cold Speights and soak up the atmosphere.
